Statewide Assessment 2007
The Statewide Assessment is the first phase of the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) and was completed in December 2007. The assessment provided California an opportunity to examine data and qualitative information related to the state's child welfare programs in relationship to its programmatic goals and desired outcomes of children and families. The Statewide Assessment report evaluated data and information regarding outcomes in the areas of safety, permanency, well-being and seven systemic factors affecting provision of services. The report also identified areas of strength and those needing improvement, as well as promising practices across the state.
